MCAP
MCAP migrated its trusted labelling setup to Loftware Cloud step by step — faster, more stable and largely self-managed, while keeping its existing SQL connections.

“Switching to Loftware noticeably sped up our labelling process. Thanks to the guidance from Labels en Meer we got going quickly and can now manage a lot ourselves.”
At MCAP, label printing is an important part of the production process. The company uses shrink-sleeve labels, planning labels and project tags, among others, to keep work and materials clearly organised. Project information is pulled in automatically through SQL connections and placed on the right labels. In practice, however, this process turned out to be slow and prone to errors, causing staff to lose time unnecessarily while printing.
The challenge
MCAP was looking for a faster and more stable way to print labels, without abandoning its existing way of working entirely. The new solution had to be able to pull project data automatically from the SQL database and place it correctly on the labels.
On top of that, MCAP wanted to be able to manage the solution itself as much as possible. The setup therefore had to be clear and to align with the way they were already used to working.
Our solution
Labels en Meer proposed migrating the existing setup to Loftware Cloud step by step, while preserving the familiar structure: a separate solution was set up for each label format or use case.
Within these solutions, the label files, forms and database connections were configured. The forms guide users through a fixed printing process, so the right data is retrieved and printed in the right way.
The project
Labels en Meer supported MCAP with the initial installation, setting up the first forms and connecting the SQL database. We then tested together whether labels printed correctly and whether the information appeared in the right place on the label.
After this initial setup, MCAP was able to continue adjusting and managing additional labels itself. For any questions, Labels en Meer remains available for support, for example by looking in remotely or briefly advising on adjustments.
Our added value
The strength of Labels en Meer lay in the combination of technical knowledge and practical guidance. We translated MCAP's existing way of working into a faster and more stable Loftware environment, without making the process needlessly complicated.
As a result, MCAP gained not only a working solution but also the confidence to keep building on it. Thanks to our experience with label software, database connections and production processes, we could move quickly, advise specifically and ensure a setup that fits day-to-day practice.
The result
With the move to Loftware Cloud, MCAP now has a faster and more stable label printing process. Staff can issue the right print job through clear forms, after which information is retrieved automatically from the SQL database and placed correctly on the label.
The new setup aligns with MCAP's existing way of working, which kept the transition practical and recognisable. At the same time, MCAP has gained more control over its own label management: after the initial setup, they can adjust and manage additional labels themselves.
More about MCAP
MCAP designs and manufactures cable and fibre-optic assemblies. Good marking plays a key role — for easy assembly, quality and full traceability.
Good marking in 3 steps
- 1Direct marking
Printing a code directly onto the wire insulation.
- 2Wrap-around labels
A label placed just behind the connector to avoid confusion.
- 3Alternatives
Printable heat-shrink sleeves, marker clips or labels for cable ties.
